THE HOBBY: Saturday Night MOVIE

SPECIAL MOVIE EDITION of Saturday Night Board Games for up to 9 viewers (including me).

For this Meetup, we will watch the new documentary, The Hobby: Tales from the Tabletop (Trailer).

In addition to my dedicated gaming space, I also have an adjacent home theater / media room (with 4K UHD projector, Dolby Atmos sound, and reclining seats) where we will view the documentary, which has a run-time of 1h 32m. We will start viewing at ~6:15pm. My theater seats a maximum of 9 viewers, so this special MOVIE EDITION of game night will be limited to 9 viewers (including me).

There will be a separate Meetup for just games, starting at 8:00pm: PLEASE RSVP for Saturday Night Board Games separately, if you plan to stay for games starting at 8:00pm. These events are separate, so you are not required to stay for games, but I can only accommodate 12 players (including me). Consequently, if you are not registered for the game night portion of the evening starting at 8:00pm, you may be required to leave after the movie.

Attendees (viewers) should be sociable and respectful. I'll have a selection of light snacks and beverages available, but please feel free to bring snacks and/or drinks to share. Alcohol: If you're legally permitted, then you can, but keep it reasonable and light.

There is no smoking or vaping on the property and if you have a pet allergy, please be advised that we have three dogs (two miniature poodles and a mini goldendoodle) in the home. Attendees should also be capable of walking down/up at least 15 stairs to enter/exit the game room.

You may park along the street or in the driveway, but do not block access to the third garage on the right.

Attendance/Late/No-Show Policies:

• You must be registered in order to attend this event; walk-ins are not allowed.
• The event start time is specific (not flexible) and you should plan to arrive at that time in order to be respectful of others. A 10 minute grace period for traffic or delays is generally afforded, but the movie will start promptly at 6:15pm.
• If you are going to be more than 10 minutes late be prepared that you will miss part of the film. In general, attendees should not be late.
• If you are a no-show for this special MOVIE event (and there is a waitlist of others who wanted to attend) then you will be banned from the group.
• For the movie, it is expected that you will stay for the duration (until 8:00pm).
