NNU Day of Action - Oakland County
Details
Welcome Neighbors!
A small group of concerned voters will meet in the parking lot of Rep Stevens’ office at 13 Mile and Northwestern Hwy at 2pm on Thursday July 30. We'll walk into her office to present her with our birthday card in honor of Medicare’s 61st anniversary, and a fact sheet on Medicare for All. Let’s (respectfully) show Rep Stevens – Candidate Stevens – that a national health care plan is important to her constituents.
My name is Valerie Weise, a resident of Royal Oak for 29 years and host of Courage26.com (patients' rights). My involvement with this topic started after a truly terrible experience with worker’s comp. Please swing by Thursday 07/30 at 2pm and show some POPULAR SUPPORT for health care reform. (We can swap stories too.)
Medicare for All is more popular than ever, and it’s important we remind elected leaders that we expect them to fight for true, guaranteed health care for all, and nothing less. On the anniversary of the passage of Medicare, join us for a short event at the district office for your member of Congress. We’ll share personal stories with our broken health care system, deliver a sign-on letter supporting Medicare for All that has been signed by over 335 organizations, and remind our member of Congress that the full promise of Medicare is still within reach.
No prior experience necessary to join; all are welcome.
Thanks for joining us in the fight for health care justice.
