Explore Life After Death, Heaven on Earth

At this gathering, we continue our discussion on the great mystery beyond, as we contemplate the idea of creating heaven on earth. We will look at these ideas in the context of our own experience and understanding, as well as ideas provided to us through various spiritual traditions and recent bestsellers including Dr. Eben Alexander’s Proof of Heaven: A Neurosurgeon’s Journey into the Afterlife, and Anita Moorjani’s Dying to Be Me. (Feel free to bring along these or any other related books you have read.)

This will be the perfect segue into to our June 4th gathering, where we welcome our first featured guest presenter/conversationalist, Rae Hatherton. Rae, a long-time student of Sogyal Rinpoche (author of The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying), will introduce us to compassion practices from her tradition that we can use on a daily basis, whether to support ourselves in living more fully, or in dealing with death.

June 4th will be our last gathering until September, when we introduce new guest conversationalists who will share their perspectives, expertise and practices for living “full out” and dying more consciously.

As always, we welcome new conversationalists to join us. Our gatherings are designed so that you can pick up the thread of the conversation at any time – as we allow space for the conversation to gently guide us where it wants to go, everyone in the room benefits.
