Learn Tonglen: Compassion in Action

Details
Hello there!
We hope to see yo next Tuesday!
Tonglen is the ancient Tibetan practice of giving and receiving to exchange suffering and pain for happiness, well-being and peace of mind. While often delivered in a formal structure, Tonglen can also be practiced in a simpler, spontaneous way by people of any spiritual belief, working with unwanted feelings directed toward oneself or others. Learn the basics of this compassionate approach to dealing with many kinds of challenging situations, including the emotions often associated with loss.
To the degree that we look clearly and compassionately at ourselves, we feel confident and fearless about looking into someone else's eyes." - Pema Chödrön
Guest Speaker: Rae Hatherton
Rae’s practice centres on Tibetan Energy Medicine and incorporates Buddhist principles to balance the body/mind. She has been leading seminars, authoring books, and developing systems in body/mind medicine globally for over 30 years.
June 4th will be our last gathering until September, when we introduce new guest speakers/conversationalists who will share their perspectives, expertise and practices for living “full out” and dying more consciously.
As always, we welcome new conversationalists to join us. Our gatherings are designed so that you can pick up the thread of the conversation at any time – as we allow space for the conversation to gently guide us where it wants to go, everyone in the room benefits.
To read more about the full scope of our Conversation as it will evolve over time, please click on "Pages" in the top menu bar above.
