Presentation
Join us for an engaging presentation by Maximilian Schiedermeier, a distinguished PhD student and Software Engineering lecturer at McGill University. His research focuses on enhancing modern software development, especially in terms of development time and system correctness for scalable and secure distributed services. Maximilian will demonstrate how established Model Driven Engineering techniques can effectively leverage the next generation of developer tooling, as demonstrated through a functional workbench prototype. This prototype showcases how traditionally complex tasks such as turning legacy code into microservices can become seamless and intuitive when using appropriate integrated Domain Specific Modelling Languages.
This presentation also offers an exclusive preview of unpublished research findings from recent experiments on how developers can adopt software modelling. These findings quantify real-world advantages for changing their development approach in their everyday work.
