Welcome to the Cozy Books, book club! In this corner of the book club world, we will be reading and discussing all of the coziest books while finding a community of readers who enjoy escaping to the cozy, charming , lifestyles on the pages we read!
From Miss Read’s charming village stories to mildly-adventurous mysteries, and from small town romances to historical accounts of cozy life, anything is up for selection as long as it follows a few loose guidelines:
-It must be “clean” (Books without explicit sexual/violent/language content)
-It should align with Christian values, even if not specifically a “Christian” book
-It must fit the “cozy” genre in some way, with cozy defined as: giving a feeling of comfort, warmth and relaxation!
Let’s meet once a month, to discuss anything and everything, with the book we read as our conversation-starter but with time to build connections and make new friends along the way, adding a little more cozy to our own lives, each month. At each meeting, we’ll agree on our read for the next month, and we can decide if we want to do that by voting or taking turns at choosing the next book!
As well as being intentional about reading delicious, charming books, let’s use this time to share the cozy parts of our own lives for inspiration and encouragement of the group, and also to help us start some new friendships.
We’re here because we love to read, or want to get back into reading, or we are looking for our niche as a reader...so lets get to reading!
