STORY SLAM NIGHT – WHAT TO EXPECT
Hey there!
A story slam is a night where people share real-life stories on stage—funny, emotional, spooky, wild, or simply unforgettable.
We’ll give you a theme (check the event title!), and you’ll have 5–7 minutes to share a true story from your life.
While you’re here, enjoy mulled wine, cozy drinks, and snacks.

### WANT TO TELL A STORY?

Amazing! Here’s what to know:
DO:

• Tell a real story – something that actually happened to you.
• Keep it between 5–7 minutes.
• If you go over time, we’ll flash a light.
• Keep going after that? We’ll ring a bell.
• For every extra minute, 1 point is deducted from your score.
• Make sure your story has a clear beginning, middle, and end.
• Include why the moment mattered to you.
• Be engaging. Be yourself.

DON’T:

• No essays, rants, or life philosophy talks. This isn’t group therapy.
• No notes, no reading. Speak naturally.
• No long complaining—turn your challenges into a meaningful story.

Audience judges will give a score, and at the end of the night we’ll announce the winner!
