The objective of this session is to familiarize students with Photoshop and some of its basic tools. In this session you will learn how to:
Navigate the program
Customize the workspace
Use keyboard shortcuts
Resize, crop and straighten images
Save and print files
Make basic adjustments to color, contrast, exposure, etc.
Each student is given a collection of photographs that are used to demonstrate various tools. Everyone works together on the same photos as instruction is given in order to maximize the learning process.

Session 1 - Basics
Sessions 2 & 3 - Editing with Adobe Camera Raw & Lightroom
Session 4 - Tools and Adjustments
Sessions 5 & 6 - Layers
Session 7 - Black & White, Selective Color and Panoramas
You will need a laptop with the latest versions of Photoshop CC, Camera Raw and Bridge (Photoshop Elements and Lightroom are not taught in this class). Use of a mouse is highly recommended. You can download a trial version of the program at http://www.adobe.com . Students should also possess a strong set of basic computer skills.
I need to ask that students refrain from wearing perfumes, colognes and scented lotions in class because I am allergic to those things. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
