The Return: Contractual Disappointment in C++

We’re finally back!

For our first meetup since the pandemic we have John McFarlane making the trek over to give a talk called “Contractual Disappointment in C++”. This will be the main feature of the evening and a great way to kick off our meetups again.

For the location we’ll be in one of venYou’s great new office spaces at Ascot House on Shaftesbury Square so many thanks to them for supporting us. [Clearpool.io](https://clearpool.io) will be sponsoring the food and drinks, and doing the organisation on the night. Most of you will know them from the ACCU Autumn conference in 2019 and previous meetups.

As usual the agenda will be something like this:

• Arrive, eat, drink — catch up with old friends and make some new ones
• Welcome and introduction
• Possibly a short talk or Standards catchup (time permitting)
• The main event: “Contractual Disappointment in C++” by John

John first gave this talk at ACCU 2022 in Bristol so for those of you who have never attended an ACCU conference this will give you a flavour of what to expect.

It will be fantastic to see everyone again after such a long time so please register early in case we run out of space and need to accommodate a larger number.
