Join us for a special community screening of The Story of C++ — the documentary that traces the journey of C++ from its origins to its lasting impact on the programming world.
This is a relaxed, in-person get-together. Come hang out with fellow C++ enthusiasts, watch the documentary together, and stay for drinks and conversation afterward.
## About the Documentary
Produced by CultRepo, this feature-length documentary explores the 40-year history of C++. It covers everything from its humble beginnings at Bell Labs to its standardization, the "C++ winter" of the early 2000s, and its massive revival and modernization with C++11.
The film features exclusive interviews with the engineers, standards contributors, and industry pioneers who shaped the language, including:
- Bjarne Stroustrup: Designer and original implementer of C++.
- Brian Kernighan: Bell Labs Computer Scientist and co-author of The C Programming Language.
- Alexander Stepanov: Designer of the Standard Template Library (STL) and generic programming pioneer.
- Chris Lattner: Creator of LLVM, Clang, and Swift.
- Anders Hejlsberg: Creator of C#, TypeScript, and Turbo Pascal and chief architect of Delphi.
- Herb Sutter: Chair Emeritus of the ISO C++ committee

### How to get there:
Head to the Avala Film complex on Kneza Višeslava. Once you pass through the main entrance of the complex, go straight, passing the ramp until you reach the end of the road, the building will be on your right. The Inceptive office is located on the ground floor, door on the left.
Parking: If you are driving, there is parking available directly on-site within the Avala Film complex, and outside the complex.
Public transport: You can take 23 and 53 bus or the E2 shuttle bus.
