The landscape of robotics business applications is evolving. Various of different sensor technology is widely used in most of them. This presentation will help to understand how LIDAR works and which parameters you have to consider looking for LIDAR for your application.
About the speaker:
Operations director at Husarion and CEO at ROSISLAND. Former member of AGH Racing Driverless department. Graduated from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow. Simulation robotics environments are in high demand, they allow for testing and validating robotic systems in a safe and cost-effective manner without the risk of damage to the robot or the environment. Simulations can replicate complex real-world scenarios and environmental conditions to evaluate and optimize the robot's performance under different circumstances. Simulations are used for data generation as well, in this session meets the state-of-the-art approach for Lidar Point Cloud generation and high-performance simulator - O3DE with ROS2 Gem.
About the speakers:
Piotr Rybicki:
Senior Software Developer at Robotec.ai. Graduated from the University of Warsaw. Involved in Robotics through University Rover Challenge and working for NoMagic. Also interested in GPU with two internships in the CUDA performance team and a number of CUDA-based side projects. The last two years he spent working on Robotec GPU Lidar, a hardware-accelerated LiDAR simulation library.
Adam Krawczyk:
Software Developer at Robotec.ai and a student at the Warsaw University of Technology. Currently involved in the development of a O3DE ROS2 Gem. Previously worked on autonomous cars safety algorithms under Autoware and mobile robots at Husarion.
