Welcome to Dubai Crafters!
We are a group of makers of all ages, levels and backgrounds, who meet on a regular basis to practice our crafts. Our goals are to have fun, encourage, and inspire one another!
Some of the crafts our members enjoy include knitting, crochet, hand-sewing, tatting, sketching, embroidery, needlepoint, cross-stitching, tapestry, etc.
Your craft isn’t in this list? Join us and show us what you like to make!
Since our meetings take place in regular coffee shops, crafts that require a lot of space, a complex setup, or that are messy are not well-suited for our gatherings (for example: machine sewing, painting, woodworking). If you enjoy these crafts, you are more than welcome, but maybe consider bringing a more portable version of your passion, such as a hand sewing project or a sketchbook and pencil.
All levels are welcome, from beginner to advanced crafter! If you’re a beginner, do note that our meetings are not classes, and we will not be able to teach you. However, you will get plenty of encouragement and we may be able to share resources such as how to learn, or where to buy supplies.
Our meetings are free, but we do request that each participant buys at least a drink each week to support the cafe, as a thank you for having us and to ensure we are welcomed back on future visits!
