10 Guaranteed Ways to Ruin Developer Experience
by Dániel Berecz (Head of Engineering, Lufthansa Systems Hungária)Tired of happy, productive developers? Want more delays, burnout, and confusion in your team? We’ll explore the worst possible practices to ensure the developer experience crashes and burns. From endless manual tickets and hour-long builds to surprise meetings and undocumented processes, we’ll count down the surest ways to sabotage creativity and drive your fellow engineers into a productivity black hole. Along the way, you’ll accidentally learn what great Developer Experience really looks like, drawing on frameworks like DORA, SPACE, and the Three Core Dimensions of DevEx, and how companies like Lufthansa Systems, Spotify and Stripe turned the chaos around. By the end, you’ll have a checklist of what not to do, and a clearer sense of what great Developer Experience actually looks like.
Invisible Acceleration: How AI and Automation Redefine Developer Experience
by Ferenc Mile (Technical Team Lead, Mito Digital)Developer Experience isn’t just a developer problem — it’s a business advantage. Every minute lost to friction, context-switching, or manual admin is time not spent creating value. This talk explores how subtle automation, self-healing systems, and AI assistants can quietly transform engineering culture: auto-generated PRs, transparent deployments, and guardrails that keep AI safe yet useful. You’ll see how modern DX protects focus, reduces cognitive load, and directly improves speed, quality, and retention. We’ll finish with a glimpse of what’s next — intelligent platforms that sense friction and adapt in real time. Because the best developer experience isn’t the loudest or most complex — it’s the one that lets people do their best work, effortlessly.
