Migration is Beautiful (and also a Human Right)
Details
Learn from guest speaker Kari Grossman, owner of Happy Lucky's TeaHouse, as she shares her story and her knowledge of how we can better support the immigration journey, peacefully and powerfully.
After helping 2 adopted kids immigrate from Cambodia and India, Kari formed a non-profit to assist and educate everyone about this basic human behavior. We want the choice to migrate, whether for survival or for opportunity, to create more freedom and remain safe for all.
Our craft will focus on the newly adopted emblem (see the butterfly image) that is being used as a beacon to let immigrants know they are safe and will be supported in these spaces. Like the pride flag for the LGBTQ community, immigrants can see this image posted in a business or on a car and can rest easy knowing there's support.
Let's make one using Lisa's unique method!
