Tapestry: Art for Mental Health
Details
Tapestry Project is the first annual event presented by NOCO Creative Network, showcasing collaborative artwork created between Fort Collins artists and the community.
- What becomes possible when artists and community members create together?
- How do we create more opportunities to share work, build community, and support creative practice in Northern Colorado?
- And how can creativity contribute to the wellbeing of the communities we call home?
The Tapestry Project is one small experiment in answering those questions.
The event combines an artist market, live music, therapy animals from Laughing Buck Farm, puppy art projects from Until They're Home, collaborative art projects, and a donation-based fundraising initiative supporting both artist sustainability and mental health efforts through the Larimer County Suicide Prevention Alliance.
Plus us - Craftivism will be hosting a table where guests can contribute to a large community-made project, honoring the rivers and the River of Love/Peace/Humanity that we are all a part of.
RSVP to attend the (free!) festival and/or to work the booth with us!
Through shared creative experience, Tapestry highlights how investing in artists is an investment in community wellbeing.
