Crafting is always better when you’re surrounded by friends, and that’s exactly why we created the Crafty Friends Craft Group. Come just as you are and enjoy an evening of creativity, connection, and easygoing fellowship while we each work on our own arts and crafts projects. Crafters truly are some of the kindest people you’ll ever meet.

We have a wonderful core group that comes regularly, and we’re delighted to welcome new faces all the time. Whether you’re a longtime crafter or just dipping your toes in, you’ll feel right at home as we laugh, chat, unwind, and create together.

We meet in my studio classroom in Tigard, just off Hwy 99. When you arrive, feel free to park in the driveway—there’s plenty of room for up to nine cars, including the gravel area.

Crafters tend to wander in between 6:00 PM and 6:30 PM (we know many people come straight from work, so late arrivals are always welcome). We usually take a little time to visit, catch up, and sometimes share a snack while everyone gets settled. Then we craft the night away.

Early in the evening, Sandi will check in to see if anyone needs anything from the store, since Simply Special Crafts is our host company. You’re welcome to browse the warehouse if you’d like, and if not, that’s perfectly fine too. Please note that there are stairs to the warehouse.

People bring all sorts of projects—paper crafting, card making, knitting, crochet, diamond painting, quilting, fabric piecing, drawing, painting, polymer clay, and so much more. One of the best parts is seeing what everyone is working on and picking up new ideas along the way.

Around 8:30, we start packing up.
