POSTPONED - Community Service: Riverkeeper Sweep - Bear Mountain

Details
Due to Saturday's high probability of impending torrential rain and thunder/lightening and in the best interest of the safety of our volunteers, we are going to postpone our day of service at Mine Dock Park.
Riverkeeper is waiting until Saturday morning to make an official call on whether or not the event will be cancelled river-wide. We thank you for your interest and hope to see you at another CRC event soon. Join the CRC for a beautiful day outdoors and service opportunity as we head to the Hudson Valley to participate in the third annual Riverkeeper River Sweep. Kayaks will be available for those interested in paddling the shore lines to collect trash in the river. There is also the option to work riverside by foot.
A bbq lunch will be provided by the Friends of Mine Dock Park. The nearby Peekskill Brewery is also offering a free beer to all volunteers.
The group will meet at Holy Trinity Church in the morning and car pool up together. Please RSVP by April 28 to assure enough room in cars and kayaks. More details to come.
Rain or shine, but event will likely be rescheduled in the event of extreme weather or lightning. Work gloves and clothing appropriate for riverside work suggested.
