Books Discussion. In Search of Miraculous. How to Have Strong Will

Details
This is NOT an online meeting but in-person meeting in Warsaw!
Book Description
We will discuss Armenian spiritual teacher George Gurdjieff teachings that were presented by the Russian philosopher Ouspensky in the book In Search of Miraculous.
His teachings revolves about better understaning oneself and how to ascend oneself (known as The Fourth Way as opposed to Fakir/Monk/Yogi Ways). He claimed that people are "machines" - that is they can't really act independently - everything they do is a result of external stimuli. One can get out of the mechanicallness by the practice of "self-remembering" and "self-struggle".
All people you see, all the people you know, all the people you may get to know, are machines, actual machines working solely under the power of external influences.
Man is a machine. All his deeds, actions, words, thoughts, feelings, convictions, opinions, and habits are the result of external influences, external impressions. Out of himself a man cannot produce a single thought, a single action. Everything he says, does, thinks, feels - all this happens. Man cannot discover everything, invent anything. It all happens.
To be discussed:
- Men are machines and what it means
- How to stop being a machine (get out of prision of mechanicallness)
- Why self-struggle is necessary
- The Fakir Way, The Monk Way, The Yogi Way
- The Fourth Way
- The absence of unity in man
- Self-Remembering
- Human centers
