THE TECH ON TAP TALK:

Fake It Before You Make It: How Using Design Sprints Can Help Increase the Success Rate of Your Idea.

ABOUT THE TALK:

Ideas come in many forms and sizes. The most common concern when it comes implementing an idea is determining whether it will actually resonate with our customers. Sometimes we may not even know who the customer profile we are targeting is the right one.

Design Sprints is a concept, refined by Google Ventures, and have early roots from great minds at IDEO and the Institute of Design at Stanford. It is generally a 5 day set of exercises that allows a team to learn the viability of an idea without the cost and commitment required to build and launch that idea. We will breakdown the phases and exercises commonly used in a Design Sprint and review some applicable use cases.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Shashant Jasani leads Product Development and UX at mobileforming (http://mobileforming.com/), with a core mission to work with mobileforming clients in effort to define their mobile strategy and roadmap. Regardless of the specific industry the client represents, the fundamental approach remains the same, starting with immersing himself in how their business works and identifying what challenges they currently face or may face.
