Kitchener Coffee & Conversation - Citizenship

One of the questions that came up in our last conversation is the degree to which we have the ability the affect what’s going on in the wider world. This made me think of the topic of citizenship.

So let’s explore what it means to be citizens of our communities, our countries, and of the world with these questions…

• What does it mean to be a good citizen these days? How is citizenship now different from how it was in the past?
• How can we stay informed and engaged with what is going on around us without becoming overwhelmed?
• How much influence do we really have as citizens and what are the most effective ways to use our influence?

I think conversations are a good place to start when it comes to getting involved, so that’s one of many good reasons to join us this week. This is a low pressure environment to share our perspectives and explore topics that are relevant to all of us. I hope to see you Thursday!

To accommodate our growing numbers and need for a quieter space we will be meeting in a church community hall listed below (this is not a religious gathering).
