The topic of being informed and misinformation has come up a few times in past conversations, so let’s dive deeper into this complex conversation.

What makes this topic so tricky is that we all have different ideas on what misinformation is and on how we should and shouldn’t engage with information. And of course this impacts what realities we see or don’t see and how we respond.

So let’s explore some of these questions and see where it takes us…

  • How and where do you access information and what types of information do you seek out or are exposed to?

  • What is your criteria for healthy information consumption? How do you ensure that you are getting a real, accurate, and well-rounded view of things? How do you avoid information overload without losing touch with what’s going on?

  • What are some red flags when it comes to sources and/or personal behaviours that may have a negative impact on how we engage with information, each other, and the world.

Hopefully by coming together to share our perspectives we will be able to bring a little more clarity to this topic; or maybe we’ll leave even more confused. Either way I’m sure it will be an interesting conversation. I hope to see you Thursday!

Please be sure to check this post before you head out, incase there is any reason for us to have to cancel. If it’s cancelled this post will be updated by 8am Thursday morning

LOCATION:
To accommodate our growing numbers and need for a quieter space we will be meeting in a church community hall listed below (this is not a religious gathering).

Community Hall
