Kitchener Coffee & Conversation - Time

We lost an hour last night, so I don’t have as much time to think of a topic. So let’s explore the theme of time this week.

I’m not sure if we’ll have enough time to cover all the different directions we could go with this conversation, but let’s start with these questions…

• What is your relationship to the past, present, and future? Do you spend most of your time reminiscing about the past, focused on the present or thinking about/planning for the future?

• What experiences do you have with time in your day to day life? (E.g., always running late, time moving slowly or quickly, losing track of time, etc.) How does your mindset or the nature of the activity affect your experience of time?

• If you had all the time in the world what would you do? In what ways are we influenced by time and how do we create a relationship with time that gives us the experience we’re looking for?

If we want to get more philosophical or bring in quantum physics we could also talk about the nature of time itself. But let’s go with the flow and see where it takes us.
