Hike/walk Thru Stanley Park & talk about your fave documentaries
Details
Hi Folks
Meetup can be a wonderful place. Last Wednesday I went to a fundraiser, met two people, both of whom had never met each other before, they hit it off and two days later, on Friday, i randomly crossed paths with them and saw them holding hands, smiling and laughing.... Spring love...
On friday night we had a hike, had 13 people come out, including a 5 footer (ie bear food) with 4 inch heels, who decided to walk the trail, in the dark with us and risk being blown away by a good gust of wind. That lady has some serious mojo. That group had lots of laughs and giggles.
On saturday, despite the rain, we had 8 weekend warriors come out for a hike and we all had a good time (or they were really good at lying to me:-). I forgot my hat and one person was kind of enough to let me borrow one of her hats. Despite the emasculating flower patterns on it, i decided to wear it and have to admit that it brought out my effeminate side.
In honour of her, this upcoming saturday, i would like us to hike and hopefully have a conversation about our favorite documentaries. So if you enjoy meeting new people, having fun, and hiking/walking on/off trail, then i'm pretty sure you'll have a good time this upcoming saturday morning, on may 4th. If you don't, then you'll get your money back for your hike +25%.
Note: There is no fee for hikes

I plan on holding a hike/walk thru Stanley Park every saturday morn, rain or shine. If it rains alot then it will be a really short walk:-)
We'll leave at 10:10am and finish sometime before 1pm. I don't know every path like the back of my hand, but eventually i will. It's more fun for me to experience the journey as we randomly choose where to go. Feel free to come on down. I'm more of a low-key, follow the leader guy, so if you know where you want to go, then take the lead and i'm sure the rest of us will follow along.
I'm not a Stanley Park tour guide, so sorry i don't know where the restrooms are, so please adjust accordingly. Moreover, if we see a bear in the woods, all i know is to grab someone small and throw it to the bear. Good appy for the bear and give me a chance to run back to civilization.
Also, if you're interested in a more significant or challenging hike on Sunday, then please come down on saturday. So that we can figure out details in person and figure out if we can go the next day or next week. Or maybe you can find a group of people who you'd like to go with??
Most important, have fun, be healthy and strive to be happy.
Cheers

Note: my policy regarding bears is even more in effect in actual territory where bears hang out. So i'm hoping atleast one tiny person will come along and walk with me. I had a formative experience as a youngster (check out my profile pics)
