Sunday Lidar Session @ DanceHack

Hello again creative coders and enthusiasts!

Last month at CREA Cafe was really fun and interesting and we'd like to thank everybody showing up for being there! Not much work was done, but projects and ideas were shared on the makeshift presentation area. Good vibes all around. Thank you!

This time around, we're mixing things up again. We're partnering with the worldwide DanceHack initiative for their Amsterdam edition. Dancehack brings together people from the contemporary dance and music scene with creative technologists to produce a joint spontaneous performance within a limited timespan. Which is happing on October 13th here in Amsterdam!

For our CCA meetup, we want to make the best use of the 2 kinects and 2 realsense devices we've got at our disposal for the day. The cool thing here is that this means you have got these devices at your disposal!

Yes, indeed, anything you ever wanted to record as point-cloud you can come do at our next event. If you don't have a project ready, no worries. We'll prepare some starter projects to get you going. To keep things streamlined we're focusing on using processing to interact with the devices. Make sure to check out our Discord for more details.

Last, but not least! This edition will take place in the renowned musical venue Splendor, right in the heart of the city. While dancehack takes place in the rooms on the ground floor, we're heading upstairs to the beautiful loft, where we'll be playing around with depth-cameras from 14:00 till 16:30
