Unique Art Mentoring Program (Thursdays, 4-weeks)

If you are looking for a way to stop feeling bored, lonely, unhappy, empty, resentful, or inadequate, Art should be part of your action plan?
Maybe you just lost for ideas or out of practice?
My unique ART MENTORING PROGRAM, located in Manly West near Wynnum is both fun and therapeutic. There are 8 modules offered per year. Each Module offers new content, so you can continue your creative journey for 12 months before ever repeating a lesson. You can start any time of the year and if you miss a module you can complete them in any order.
You’ll be learning Art to love life.
My art-journaling style program allows you to ‘taste test’ a wide variety of different media while you build Art skills and Art confidence. As your mentor, I will show you how to develop a creative mindset as you create pages of ideas and “samplers” that can be used to inspire large works later.
The journaling format also means you’ll make more art in less time AND because a journal takes up less space, you can easily continue your new passion at home. You can even work on your lap when the kids are awake!!
What’s included: I supply all the materials, equipment, and resources needed for classes, as well as a beautiful A4 ART journal to keep forever. PLUS I give you BONUS daily journal prompts (each week) to inspire more creativity at home, Complimentary Tea/coffee too!

Splat ‘n’ Chat – 4 x Wednesday Sessions
Manly West Studio, Treetop Place, Manly west, Brisbane, AUThese fabulous sessions are for people with some experience, who want to learn more, practice, make friends, explore ideas, ask for feedback, and share their expertise and most of all, set aside TIME to be productive.
Each session allows you to work side by side with like-minded people while doing your own project independently, to avoid creative blocks and lack of motivation.
Splat ‘n’ Chat sessions are designed so we can support and encourage each other! Perfect if you’re a procrastinator!
This is a mixed ability group that is all about helping you create more and enjoy doing it!
I know that whatever level you’re at, it’s often find it difficult to escape your chores and make time for your passion.
You will be amazed at how I can help you to increase your productivity and expand your ideas.
MY STUDIO SPACE IS YOURS so that together we help each other to articulate our ‘Arty thoughts’ and get our projects finished.
If you aim to move you toward exhibiting and selling your work, Splat ‘n’ Chat could be your first step toward making it happen. Imagine the thrill of taking part in local Art Markets or Exhibitions and inviting your friends and family to the Opening Night. You CAN be a real, productive, prolific, successful artist.
Together we will make ‘it’ happen.

Acrylic Painting Techniques – For Beginners
Manly West Studio, Treetop Place, Manly west, Brisbane, AUIf you ever wanted to paint a canvas-like “real” Artists do, but don’t know where to start, this workshop is your dream come true. Even if you can’t remember ever holding a paintbrush before, you will quickly feel at ease when you’re shown my tried and tested techniques, using acrylic paints and a range of mediums and additives. You will have the opportunity to learn about and experiment with the materials, so you can discover the effects you like the most, before using them to create abstract or semi-abstract artwork on a canvas. You’ll be guided and supported a little or a lot depending on your wishes, with honest advice and feedback.
This workshop introduces you to both traditional and non-traditional ways to apply paint and encourages you to think outside the box. I provide plenty of fuel to develop your confidence and creativity, with actual demonstrations and lots of examples. I’ll guide you through this ‘open-ended’ learning experience, where you have the opportunity to begin a painting based on resources I supply or your own ideas (If you already have an idea for your painting, please bring an image with you on the day).
What’s included:
- A complete painting experience
- Step by step instructions
- Organisational ideas and advice on resources you need to set up your home studio
- Tea/coffee and light snacks
- An apron for use on the day
- Brushes and other painting tools, pallets, water jars
- Acrylic paint and painting mediums
- 1 x canvas (40cm x 50cm)
