DESCRIPTION:
“The songs on Bronco are maximalist country masterpieces...His extensive range glides easily from bass to falsetto, and there isn’t a moment his voice, phrasing, and incredible gift for melody doesn’t captivate.”—Under the Radar
Visions and Voices is thrilled to present an unforgettable evening of conversation and music with acclaimed artist Orville Peck. Known for his signature mask and mesmerizing voice, Orville will perform a few songs and discuss his creative process, genre-defying work, advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community, and more with Jason King, Dean of the USC Thornton School of Music.
Orville Peck is an award-winning country music recording artist, songwriter, and actor. After leaving his hometown of Johannesburg, South Africa, as a teenager, Orville has since worked and lived throughout Canada, the UK, and across the United States, where he now calls Los Angeles home.
In 2024, he released his third studio album, Stampede, following his critically acclaimed works of Bronco (2022) and Pony (2019). Despite never being seen without his mask, Orville has made a name for himself in country music, blazing a trail as one of the genre’s few openly gay artists. He has collaborated and worked with a roster of music industry greats, such as Elton John, Willie Nelson, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Shania Twain, Beck, Kylie Minogue, Noah Cyrus, and many others.
Revered for his live shows, Orville has toured across the U.S., Europe, Australia, and Canada. He has sold out tours and played iconic venues, including Madison Square Garden, the Hollywood Bowl, and the Ryman Auditorium, and performed at major festivals such as Lollapalooza, Stagecoach, and Coachella.
As an actor, Orville starred on Broadway in Cabaret (2025) and will portray Vega in the upcoming Street Fighter movie (2026). He has appeared on RuPaul’s Drag Race and collaborated with drag queens including Trixie Mattel.
His work in fashion as a model, creative, and performer has brought him collaborations with names like Dior, Michael For, Adidas, Ivy Park, Levi’s, and Pamela Love, to name a few.
In 2024, Orville was the recipient of GLAAD’s highly honored Vito Russo Award for his significant impact in accelerating LGBTQIA+ acceptance.

PARKING:
Parking near USC's Bovard Auditorium involves using nearby campus garages like McCarthy Way or Flower Street, or finding metered street parking with limited hours and high rates ($4/hour, $20/day). The most convenient and accessible options are the campus garages, with daily rates potentially changing for special events like football games.
Hope to see you there. Orvilles songs and his voice are remarkable!
Thanks, Michael
