Make a Junk Journal
Details
Our very first Creative Hangout! We're kicking things off with junk journals, and honestly, there's no better fit for what this group is about.
A junk journal is a handmade book made from everyday papers: old book pages, maps, envelopes, magazine clippings, packaging, postcards, ticket stubs, whatever catches your eye. Stuff that would normally get tossed becomes something worth keeping.
No two journals turn out the same, which is kind of the point.
Use yours to collect memories, sketch, write, collage, or just make something nice to hold. It can be whatever you want it to be.
We'll walk you through a simple binding method and then you're off. Work at your own pace, chat with the people around you, take it in whatever direction you like. No art experience needed. Just come curious.

You'll leave with a handmade journal that's uniquely yours, and hopefully a few new friendly faces to go with it.
