Patchwork workshop
Patchwork is a hand-made technique of joining pieces of fabric into a larger whole. At the patchwork workshop led by Vlatka Nazor, participants will make coasters for glasses and learn about the various possibilities of the technique.
The workshop is adapted for complete beginners as well as for people with experience in sewing, crocheting, knitting, embroidery...
The advantage of this technique is that you do not need a sewing machine, because it is a simple and affordable technique, where you only need a needle, thread and fabric scraps. In addition, the advantage of this technique is that it is easily accessible, you can sew wherever you want, at home in front of the TV, on vacation, while traveling...
The goal of the workshop is to encourage a new way of thinking about fast fashion and textiles, which are considered an inexhaustible resource. Globally, the fashion industry produces around 92 million tons of textile waste annually, of which only a small percentage is recycled, which has a significant impact on the environment.
**The workshop price is 15 euros, and registration is required at info@culturehubcroatia.hr**
All materials are provided.
