Creative Junk Therapy is a 501c3 non-profit creative reuse center in Brandon, Florida. Our mission is to promote creativity, environmental awareness, and community through reuse.
What We Do: We collect materials from local businesses and individuals and offer these reclaimed resources for educators, artists, makers, and students through a variety of opportunities.
Why We Do It: Creative Junk Therapy was created as a space for all people to find and enjoy their community through creativity. We promote creative expression, environmental awareness, and community engagement through education, reuse, and the arts.

Inspired Acrylic Painting
Creative Junk Therapy, 772 West Lumsden Rd.,, Brandon, FL, USJoin Karen Koseck for this ongoing class for beginners or more experienced painters wanting to go beyond the basics in acrylic painting.
In this ongoing course, we will be exploring the basics of acrylic painting, as well as understanding composition, color, light and layering for depth and perspective.
Each class we will explore a variety of options for painting a subject matter you choose. Bring a picture or idea and Karen will guide you through choices so you can learn to evolve your image intuitively and develop your own style. No experience necessary, but prior use of acrylic paint is helpful.
Cost $25.00 per person, not including supplies, but material can be provided for additional $5.00. Bring your picture or idea.
Recommended Supply list: Stretched Canvas or Canvas Board 11X17 or smaller, Round Brush #2, Filbert Brush #8, and Flat Brush #6 or 1/2"

Oil Painting Open Studio
Creative Junk Therapy, 772 West Lumsden Rd.,, Brandon, FL, USJoin other aspiring artists in this self directed group to paint, develop and share oil painting techniques and inspiration.
Discover the many aspects of Oil Painting: Composition, Color and Paint Application for Depth, Perspective and Luminosity. You will work alongside other Artists to develop and evolve your image intuitively, and to develop your own style.
Join our Open Studio Oil Painting group with like minded artists! Start a new project or work on an existing project. An Open Studio is the perfect to help you overcome artistic obstacles and successfully move forward with projects in a fun, collaborative environment.
Artist and instructor Chris Klein will offer one-on-one instruction, creative guidance, constructive critiques, inspiration, and support to help artists make progress with their projects.
This is a great opportunity for artists to work on their projects a little more freely and at their own pace, enjoy fellowship with other artists, gather insights, observe other artistic processes, and discover new ideas and techniques.
BYO paints, brushes, and any supplies necessary to your project.
