Scenic summer clifftop circular Deal- St Margaret's Bay - Deal

Our next summer coastal hike will take us to a wonderful and scenic coastal Deal to St Margaret’s Bay circular hike. This is approximately - 10 miles (16 km) linear walk from Deal to St Margaret’s Bay and back to Deal. We will arrive at noon and take around 4 hours walking this with a break and swimming in between. So do bring your swimming gear if you are up for it!

The walk is mostly downhill with a climbs into St Margaret's Bay and out on our way back.

TRANSPORT – We will meet 9.30am inside St Pancras (outisde Le Pain Quotidien) in London and take the 10.12 am train to Deal. Please purchase a 'Super OffPeak Day Return' in adance which seems to be the cheapest to Deal at the www.thetrainline.com for a good price.

FOOD & DRINK - There are a selection of pubs and cafes in St Margaret's Bay and smaller seasonal cafes along the way but I suggest bringing your own pack lunches too with plenty of water. Toilets can be found in the eating houses on the way.

• This is a hike for experienced hikers

• Clothing/protection -As we are heading to the cost where the weather, if it changes, can get cold even in the summer I advise everyone to bring layers with them should the weather change. I anticipate a sunny day...so please bring sun hats and suntan lotion and plenty of water.

• What to bring
Bring your great spirit, trainers/sun hats/swimming trunks/ suntan lotion/ hiking boots, hot and/or cold drink (depending on the weather), layers to protect from the cold or sun and a pack lunch. Partake investment: £6.50 paid in advance.

• MEETING PLACE-MEETING PLACE We will meet inside St Pancras (outisde Le Pain Quotidien) at 9.30am.
