Ink Urban Sketching Lisbon

Let’s capture Lisbon’s oldest streets with brush and Chinese ink!
Starting at Museu do Fado, we’ll wander through alleys, staircases and viewpoints, and sketch with Chinese ink, a medium built on gesture and flow.
You don’t need to be good at drawing, this practice is about letting go of perfection.

Included :

• 3 sketching stops in Alfama
• introduction to the basics of Chinese ink : holding the brush, line weight, gradients, use of empty space
• simple exercises to train your eyes : quick gestures, light and shadow
• sharing moment at the end
• A stop at the best bakery of Alfama
• open to all levels

What to bring:

• a sketchbook of thick paper (mixed media or watercolor paper)
• comfortable shoes
• a small bottle of water
• sun protection or a light jacket depending on weather
