Hi there! I’m Selange G., a 52-year-old passionate advocate for education, creativity, and community impact. As the founder of Creative Purpose Tempe, I’ve turned a simple idea into a meaningful movement—designing and selling t-shirts, tote bags, and more to fund teacher-curated "homework kits" for students in need. [language arts, music and more]
Over the past year, with the incredible support of our community, we’ve raised enough money to provide 100 homework kits and 10 memberships for teachers to the Teachers 4 Teachers wholesaler store in Tempe. [48th and Southern Ave]. But we’re just getting started!
Our next mission? Expanding our impact for the 2025-2026 school year by funding kits in Art, Language, S.T.E.M., Nutrition, and Physical Fitness—giving students at Title 1 schools across the valley the tools they need to thrive and succeed. And our big, bold dream? By 2030, we aim to gift an entire Scholastic Books Library to a school in need.
When I’m not brainstorming new ways to support educators and students, you’ll find me enjoying life with my amazing husband and our two wonderful daughters. Together, we believe that small actions can spark big change—and we’re just getting started.
