Exploring Relationships - A Creative Journey

Details

Apologies to those who signed up for the class 8/16 - this is the rescheduled version...

It may not take 3 hours, but have scheduled the time to ensure we have time for the process, wrap up and discussion.

This is not about artistic ability or quality of product. This online workshop is to provide the space and prompts for you to use creative prompts to access your own wisdom and guidance, and set a course for your next steps.

This is an on-line event - Correction - we will be using Zoom - link provided in the menu on the right.

Meeting ID: 892 4236 9800
Passcode: 821951

You will need to provide your own creative supplies for this event - recommended list will be below.

During this workshop you will use meditation, awareness, and creative processes (art and journaling) to access your own deeper and higher wisdom to discover what you truly want and need in relationships, and what are your next steps to creating this, or shifting your existing relationship(s) in your life.

You will need:
Space where you can listen, sit, and paint/create without being disturbed.

I recommend burning a candle and/or incense to help focus your energy and attention, and having water, tea and/or a light snack available nearby that you can enjoy during the process.

Art Supplies -
Paper - I recommend 18" x 24" or larger. You can get this at Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Amazon, etc. I recommend not using newsprint as it is too thin and will tear easily. In lieu of paper you can also use any materials you have on hand - fabric, cardboard, wood, etc. If it speaks to you, use it.

Paints - if you are testing your creative waters I recommend getting a small set of acrylic, tempera or gouache paints (3 ounces or more per bottle/color) that at least includes black, white, red, yellow, blue and brown. Additional colors are optional, but you can create most by mixing colors in the basic set. Gold or silver glitter paint is often a fun addition.

Sample large set: [Amazon.com: Washable Tempera Paint Set (10 Bright Colors) Craft and Learning Activities for Kids (1) : Toys & Games](https://www.amazon.com/Washable-Paint-10-Pack-Tempera-Paints/dp/B07DFP31XQ/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.HIZXnckWK6uFxqkomXJsNYt9LPTT3DESMAKDtbcAwApMkhcYQyHHo4_3Y9D6QfZAosqvEf4ZFud5qJE1ktBPESjiELB1JnjD0IGHBNyuq-QU11ityrOmCmnxmrGEEHvGh-mLsculFH175sa7qeK7jdv1McLLhROYAU1gTkF7Tqmmx3FiPrivs0pMsmbd1hKnvgkC8Qb154f2ni0swtS2sA2X83bgXDli4FcorU1ezI8XB6YsPg6_cwxQE7BVpE-orXZTzAPc3LLoRihIDp6L8j9Ju-koK5HvrN2pbj9JsWA.omHVI37aEHLkhK05jrw4xH_pigz1GbKLrHOCbQpSTB4&dib_tag=se&keywords=tempera%2Bpaint%2Bset&qid=1752367051&sr=8-2-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&th=1)

If you plan to do a lot of art I recommend getting larger bottles of paint - tempera sets that again include the basic colors listed above.

A palette, or paper plates to put your paints out on.

Brushes: A set of inexpensive brushes will do. This example includes a palette: [Amazon.com: Halobios 26 Pcs Paint Brush Palette Set, 25 Pcs Paint Brushes and 1 Pcs Folding Palette Art Paintbrush Sets for Adults, Professional Artist Drawing Set for Acrylic Oil Watercolor](https://www.amazon.com/Halobios-Palette-Paintbrush-Professional-Watercolor/dp/B0D12KV6Q1/ref=sr_1_21_sspa?crid=NIH0APKHRYMR&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.zbGq2pUPDYLOtWgKpty0imOWty6Tqki9_N8_Z0NHFCUzApQhZ8pjZ5Twxuvq3IdVfsWZqR9shAZcMe23bLy2IMdLQOOeEUByqf48LwQ4-r-Iu_M6z5Q0c55FKVdRb_c6RcjUsdSTm8gWduBX7Gro1qX_65p5_Mtw_bf7b1luEn8ko_i_OC1fx5Le2OSwNCnWWSRgNZ06pTW8Cpmx00qJXrrO-UZeSISsjkeVgUP4haBu-dzgZz1ZTOhrmFkm3qulRgl3EP71zwQAxGB43wxzmV1GMtDJFopFSWQxLMs6h7Q.CTUguyzJ0ASFo4AWfwxXBE8iYyUZ4mK1W-seulx-gG8&dib_tag=se&keywords=paint+brush+set&qid=1752367227&sprefix=paint+brush+set%2Caps%2C529&sr=8-21-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9tdGY&psc=1)

You may also choose to use fingers, rags, sponges, whatever you choose. Though most paints are non-toxic these days I recommend getting some plastic gloves if you plan to use your hands/fingers, sponges or rags as some paints can stain your hands and be hard to get out.

Magazines and similar: In the time you have leading up to the event, I recommend gathering some old magazines (old because you will be cutting/tearing them up). Many libraries have old magazines for free or for a minimal charge. I highly recommend nature and animal, architecture, or art magazines. Try to stay away from fashion or political magazines. Garden and sports or music are also often good types. National Geographic, Architectural Digest and the link are good places to start. I would try to have at least five or six old magazines on hand.

Scissors. Glue or glue stick.

Found Objects... In the time leading up to the workshop be on the lookout for pictures, photos, postcards, greeting cards, or natural objects such as leaves, feathers, sand, shells, flowers - what speaks to you.

Journal or paper and writing implement.

Water, tea, or whatever you choose to drink as refreshment as we will be busy for up to 3 hours, depending on how the process unfolds.

We will start with a short chat/intros and meditation and then you will have time to create. Then we will have a short break, and then begin the process over from another angle or two. There will also be time for sharing.

I am looking forward to creating with you!
