Mastering Creative Studio Portraiture w/ Mimi

What's the difference between a good portrait and a GREAT one? That's exactly what we are going to dive into with this in-depth master class on creative studio portraiture!

We will be covering everything from dynamic range to composition, posing to prosody, conception to execution for dramatic and creative studio portraits. We will dive into all the toys in the toy box on this one! This will be a hands-on, step-by-step class on crafting creative and unique portraits.

And joining us for this class will be Mimi, who absolutely rocked our Sunset Portraiture event last month!

This event will be a class and not a group shoot, so while you will come away with some stunning images you will primarily be using your cameras to practice the techniques I will be teaching through the event. Be sure to bring a notepad along with your digital camera with standard hotshoe (or I have loaner DSLR camera here if you need)!

Note: I use Yongnuo YN250mkIII lights for my events with a YN250TX flash controller. This has proven to work with most all cameras in my events including Canon, Nikon, Pentax, and Sony, provided the camera has an industry standard hotshoe (the Sony proprietary hot shoes won't work). If you have any doubts regarding your equipment working with this setup (or have no idea what any of this means, lol) please reach out and I will get you squared away!

When you sign up be sure to shoot me a message with what camera you will be using so I can look that up and assist you with settings during the event.

Cost is $89 per person. MeetUp requires you to pay via PayPal to register but if you want to reserve a space and pay with Venmo or Cash just message me directly.

Finally, the legal stuff. We will be following all state mandated requirements in light of the COVID pandemic, which currently means no masks. If you have any special requirements or requests regarding this please let me know. Also, because we will be walking around in the great outdoors please join us at your own risk and let me know if you have any mobility issues, health conditions, or allergies we should be aware of.
