What becomes possible when your nervous system feels safe enough to sing, listen, and connect?

In this experiential workshop, we’ll explore how simple somatic practices, drawing from neuroscience, can help create the conditions for greater joy, ease, and freedom in collective singing.

Through movement, attention, orientation, breath, sound, collective singing, and vocal improvisation, you’ll discover practical ways of signaling safety to the nervous system while singing with others.

Rather than trying to sing better through effort, you’ll experience how creating the right conditions can naturally support greater ease, freedom, enjoyment, and connection in collective singing. You may even be surprised by the difference it makes to your voice and sound.

Together we’ll explore

  • Awareness and attention
  • Movement and body sensing
  • Breath and nervous system regulation
  • Voice and sound exploration
  • Listening and relational awareness
  • Collective singing and vocal improvisation

You will leave with

  • Simple, practical resources for nervous system regulation that you can integrate into your musical practice
  • A lived experience of singing from greater presence, ease, and safety
  • A deeper sense of human connection through collective music-making
  • Greater freedom, resonance, and authenticity in your voice
  • The experience of sharing music from a state where connection, listening, and cooperation naturally emerge

This workshop is open to singers, speakers, performers, facilitators, therapists, teachers, and anyone curious about the relationship between neuroscience, the nervous system, voice, and human connection.

No singing experience is required.
