We’ll start with a simple sketch, then bring it to life with vibrant watercolor techniques and fun marker details.

Workshop Structure (3 Hours)

Part 1: Pattern Design Basics in Procreate.
• Mini-lecture + live demo:
• Canvas setup for seamless repeats (e.g., 3000x3000 px, 300 dpi).
• Brushes for surface design (provide a brush set or show how to create one).
• Making a simple seamless pattern tile with symmetry and move tool.
• Exporting the tile and testing the repeat.
• Hands-on:
• Each person creates their first pattern (e.g., floral or geometric).

Part 2: From Pattern to Product.
• Mini-lecture + show-and-tell:
• What is surface design?
• How to apply your pattern to mockups (Procreate or Canva).
• Overview of platforms: Spoonflower, Society6, Redbubble, Zazzle.
• Fabric printers and online shops (local and international).
• Hands-on:
• Use Procreate or Canva to mock up their pattern on a product (like fabric, pillow, or notebook).
