What we’re about

This is a friendly and supportive group for novices and more seasoned authors alike. We stimulate and and share creative writing while learning from successful practitioners in order to make our writing the best we possibly can. We value diversity. People from all backgrounds including those with English as a second language are most welcome. Our venue is in a quiet, quirky space at St James Tavern. Meetings generally take place on the third Wednesday of the month from 7-9pm. See Events.

Workshops are usually led by Dylan Theodore who runs a similar, much-praised group in Andover. Before retiring Dylan was an education writer and teacher-trainer in the creative curriculum. He has an MA in imaginative practice from UEL and is currently writing a novel set in contemporary India.
