Writing Style: Passive Voice versus Active Voice

We've been exploring the technical aspects of writing, but the conversations have been informal, pleasant, and instructive all at the same time.

Our May 15th meeting will be a discussion of Active Voice vs. Passive Voice. This isn't an easy (or clear) topic for most of us.

Each participant should do their own research on differentiating between the voices so that each has a clear understanding of the subject from their own point of view.

Participants are asked to bring two sentences or short paragraphs dealing with the same subject; one in the active voice, and one in the passive voice.
