Creative Writing Night (Leiden, Boulderhal Kunststof)
Details
This is a space to write, experiment, share, and connect with other creative people. Each event's writing prompt is based on a real writing competition, so the piece you create during the workshop can be developed and shared with the group (and, if you like, submitted to the competition afterwards.)
The event begins with a simple game to help us settle in and get to know one another, followed by a surprise creative writing prompt revealed on the day. You might write a short story, a poem or a strange little experiment. The activities are designed to encourage collaboration, conversation, and sharing, but sharing your work is always optional. The goal isn't to write something perfect, but rather, to have fun creating together and start building a community of creatives in Leiden.
Genre/Theme: Flash Fiction/Secrets
This is the beginning of a series of pop-up writing events, offered free / donation-based to help keep the community growing.
Competition Entry Fee: Free
RSVP is required (before October 13), as spaces are limited.
Location: The upstairs lounge of a boulderhal (Boulderhal Kunststof, Rooseveltstraat 49 E, 2321 BL Leiden)
