Devoted solely to Women who are Childfree by Choice.
This space invites curiosity, openness and release. Through coming together in Community, we nurture and inspire our Authentic Creative Voice.
Description:
This gentle class blends slow, restorative Yin stretching with creative writing exploration in a safe, supportive space made solely for women who are childfree by choice. Through quiet movement and mindful breathing, we soften tension in the body; through words, we give form to the stories, possibilities, and authentic identities.
Each session begins with grounding breathwork and gentle, meditative Yin stretches to open physical and emotional space.
Once the body settles, participants are guided through reflective writing prompts designed to spark creativity, authenticity, and personal truth — touching on themes like freedom, legacy, self-definition, and joy.
***No yoga or writing experience is needed; simply bring a notebook, a mat, and your curiosity.***
The tone of our experience will be introspective, nurturing, liberating — a pause from societal noise, a place to stretch both body and inner voice.
Some FAQ’S
What is Yin?
Yin is a foundational concept in Chinese philosophy and Taoism, representing the passive, dark, feminine, and receptive principle of nature.
In each session we will practice focused on long-held, passive stretches that target deep connective tissues, promoting relaxation and calming the nervous system. These will be interspersed with fun creative writing prompts and boundaried group sharing.
Contemporary Art and Literature sources will be referenced, to ignite our wonder and connect us with our inner authentic, creative voice.
What does Childfree by Choice mean?
In this space, ‘Childfree by Choice’ is defined as ‘consciously chose to not have children’.
This space celebrates and validates this choice, therefore if you identify as ‘Childless by circumstance’, it may not meet your needs.
I have a physical condition/injury, can I attend and just do the Creative Writing?
Provided that you are willing to take care of yourself through understanding your own condition and needs, then yes, you can either sit or lie in quietude, and follow the breathing prompts if suitable. I highly recommend speaking to a Medical Doctor or other healthcare professional if you are undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, chronic pain, chronic or excessive fatigue, any acute pain or physical symptoms, as these sessions will most likely Not be suitable.
