The Great Dickens Christmas Fair:
NEWSFLASH: AdobeTouch apps are releasing for Android tablets on November 15 - you will be able to download a trial version on that day (AdobeTouch for IOS to come in the near future). Sally will be demoing the new AdobeTouch apps on an Android tablet during the photowalk. I encourage you, if you have an Android tablet, to download the apps before the walk and we can be creative together at the event! A holiday adventure into Victorian London, partying with hundreds of costumed players in over 120,000 square feet of theatrically-lit music halls, pubs, dance parties and Christmas shops on winding lanes. It's a twilight evening in Charles Dickens' London Town - a city filled with lively and colorful characters from both literature and history. Enticing aromas of roasted chestnuts and hearty foods fill the air. Cries of street vendors hawking their wares ring out above the bustling crowd. Dozens of lamplit shops are filled to overflowing with Christmas presents.
We will do our usual "scavenger hunt" with a list of 10 items to look for. Gives you some direction but also artistic freedom. It's a lot of fun! We'll upload our photos to a photo album on this site afterward, and it's fun to see how everyone interprets the list.
