Yoga literally means 'union' or 'oneness' and is about achieving a particular state of being not a particular shape with your body. This state of being is open to all. It is a practice for you to find peace and balance with who you are, all of who you are, not just the shape. And who doesn't want to feel at peace? No one! It's a practice for the innate desire of every human to live comfortably and embrace every faculty of who they are.

NATURALLY RELAXED

Yoga makes you naturally relaxed. We often think that sitting in front of the TV with a glass of red and chocolate is relaxing but actually just trances you out, with your nervous system still over-stimulated. Yoga changes your brainwave patterns and hormones so you feel more present and enjoy the journey of life more!

ABOUT DRU YOGA

Dru Yoga is graceful and potent. It's based on flowing movements, directed breathing, and visualisation. It improves strength and flexibility, creates core stability, builds heightened feelings of positivity, and deeply relaxes and rejuvenates your whole being. It's also gentle, relaxing, and focuses on facilitating the body to release, no need to push or force.

Unique energy block release sequences work to subtly release energy constrictions which get held in our body, and particularly in our spine. There is also a particular focus on the Anahata chakra (Heart centre) which creates a heartwarming sense of wellbeing.

RICHARD SAYS

Dru Yoga is truly a yoga of the Soul. My intention when I teach is to get you to connect to an immensely deep place where you hold the creative intelligence, the sense of purpose that you need to connect with that enables you to thrive in your life.

When our mind is busy we literally can’t hear ourselves ‘think’- in essence hear our ‘deeper self’ talk to us about what we need to do to keep our life moving forward.

While Dru is gentle, don't confuse this with not being powerful! Some of the most powerful transformations we have are the result of subtle inner shifts which ripple through our being, our actions and therefore our life.
