“Don’t take your work home with you!” How are you meant to do that when you are working from home?! The purpose of these shorter 5pm relaxation / gentle yoga / meditation sessions is to aid that transition from ‘working’ at home to ‘being’ at home! You still need to reclaim your personal space from your work space so you can enjoy the evening, whether that’s by yourself or with family or housemates, it’s still ‘you’ time!
So in these shorter sessions, we will be doing super accessible but yet potent relaxation exercises to help drop your work thoughts out of your mind and reconnect to your own thoughts, feelings, creativity and body-mind.
Spending so long in your head during the day needs to be balanced by giving your body some care and attention – your attention has got power – instead of putting it outside of yourself let it nourish every cell in your own body!
WHAT WILL WE DO?
These sessions will draw upon:
- Gentle Movement / Dru Yoga
- Breathing Exercises
- Meditation
- Mindfulness
- Sound Exercises
- Self Massage
NATURALLY RELAXED
Yoga, meditation and mindfulness makes you naturally relaxed. We often think that sitting in front of the TV with a glass of red and chocolate is relaxing but actually that just trances you out, with your nervous system still over-stimulated. These practices change your brainwave patterns and hormones so you feel more present and enjoy the journey of life more! So come and join me for a truly holistic experience!
ABOUT RICHARD’S YOGA
I teach beautiful Dru Yoga, a yoga of the Heart. While other practices may have a more physical or Asana (posture) focus, the challenge in Dru is to embrace the stillness and get comfortable with yourself! And indeed this can be the ultimate challenge! You may be physically very adept, but contacting your inner self in this way can be a new challenge and is a courageous path as when you take your attention inside and embrace the thoughts and emotions that we are often keen to run from or be distracted from.
