Moinhos Velhos was one of the very original juice fasting (detox) centres to open it’s doors over 20 years ago, and you cannot buy this kind experience. The attention to detail in this place never ceases to amaze me (Richard) and every aspect of the centre oozes healing energy. The power of the land is also quite amazing, with the naturally embedded quartz crystal providing a massive energy boost in itself.
I’ve been working as part of Moinhos Velhos’s team on their detox retreats since summer 2014 and never once have I failed to be impressed (and often amazed) by the healing processes that people go through during their time at the centre. Completing one of the 7 or 10 day juice fasts adds such immense value to your life through alleviation of often chronic symptoms, emotional cleansing or sometimes just a massive energy boost and sense of renewed purpose and vision in life.

Location
This is so not to be missed. Just the place itself is amazingly revitalising. Moinhos Velhos is usually home to detox retreats (and has been recommended as one of the top 4 detox retreats in the world - so if that type of fasting / detox retreat attracts you, also check out their website (http://www.moinhos-velhos.com/)) and has an astonishingly rich and abundant energy, not to mention all the years of experience which come together to make the place what it is. The centre is also located directly on one of twelve synchronicity lines which join together at only 2 places on Earth, one is at Damanhur in Italy and the other is in Tibet.
There are also thousands of small quartz crystals in the ground all around in the valley. The original founders, now in their 70's and 80's still live on site, remarkable people. Due to what must be some extremely good karma on my part they are invite me to be part of their team!

Accommodation:
Whilst Moinhos Velhos is a beautiful energetically abundant place, just to be clear it's not a Spa or high end hotel! Accommodation is comfortable and basic; There is a choice of Shared rooms (for 2 people), Single rooms, Shared Cottages (for 2 people) and Single Cottages. All rooms have attached bathrooms with shower, toilet, and the cottages have two separate bathrooms. There is Wi-fi on site.
