What we’re about

I'm Dr Cameron Dodds, and I would like to invite you to return your creativity to life. Do you feel as though your creativity has thinned out, or that something vital has gone quiet? Perhaps you’re finding it hard to begin, or you keep circling the same patterns without feeling alive in your work. Maybe you once felt creative, but now feel burned out. Perhaps you simply want to explore more play in your life.

These experiences can be frustrating, but they’re also important signals: something is asking for your attention. My practice is about helping you reclaim your creativity on an individual level, cultivating more resilience and confidence, helping you to live a life that feels imbued with creative energy.

You see, creativity is not only about what you make; it is also about how you negotiate and engage with reality. It's about how you engage with the world.

Once a month, I host a free online session where we look at these moments of being stuck — not as obstacles to be overcome quickly, but as openings into what creativity can really mean in a life. Together, we explore what it might be to return to creative work as something lived, personal, and sustaining. I draw on over a decade of doctoral and postdoctoral research, alongside long experience mentoring artists, writers, and creative professionals. My practice is clinically supervised and informed by psychoanalysis, creative practice, and applied philosophy.

Each session includes a short talk and time for questions and conversation. It’s open to all, limited to 25 participants, and requires no preparation. The first talk is 17th September 6.30-7.30 on Zoom.
