December Guided Hike

Join us for a guided hike from Holmes Hollow Farm to Egypt on Sunday, December 14th at 1:30 PM.

A Town of Perinton bus will transport hikers from Town Centre Plaza to the farm. We will hike from the farm back to the parking lot on a scenic and remote part of the Orange trail as well as the Thayer Hill access trail. Almost all of it is in the woods and beautiful. We are grateful to the Town for the use of their bus!

Please be prompt and arrive a bit early if possible for the bus trip.

Parking: Town Center Plaza

• 7374 Pittsford-Palmyra Rd, Fairport, NY 14450
• On the north side of Route 31 in Egypt (across from Stonebrook Drive)

Distance: 3 miles
Difficulty: Medium/Hard
Recommended Gear:

• Water bottle
• Sturdy/waterproof footwear
• Weather appropriate clothing
• Bug spray/sun protection as needed
• Hiking poles optionally

Trail Conditions (subject to change):

• Several hills
• Couple of downed trees to step over
• Bridge may be slippery if frozen
• Route may be wet or muddy in areas after rain

As always no reservation or sign-up is necessary, just show up!

Please note that we very rarely cancel due to weather and we ask that you not bring dogs on our guided hikes. Feel free to email us with any other questions.
