This week our speaker is Karen Lamberton, our Director/Consultant. She will be outlining the differences between leads and referrals. For BNI members, there is a true difference, and we emphasize Referrals Over Leads. Join us for breakfast this Wednesday, October 24, and you'll learn why most of the time REFERRALS are better than leads. But, there are occasions when leads are just fine, and Karen will explain this, also. We meet at Dish Restaurant in La Canada (91011) -- 734 Foothill. You'll feel welcome from your first step into the room. We ask that you pay a venue fee of $15, which covers the cost of your breakfast. This is the same fee that our members have paid in advance. ****** We, the members of the Crescenta Valley chapter of BNI, are specifically looking to refer business to the best local business people in the following occupational categories: health insurance, escrow, personal trainer, chiropractor, car mechanic, auto sales & leasing, tax preparation, personal injury attorney, and quite possibly YOU. And we'll keep interviewing possible candidates until we find an exact fit.

What we're about

As a BNI chapter, the Crescenta Valley Chapter is part of the largest, most active business networking group in the world. We meet every Wednesday morning for breakfast (7:15-8:45a) at Dish Restaurant, 734 Foothill, La Canada.

La Canada straddles the Crescenta Valley to the west and the San Gabriel Valley to the east. Thus, we draw members from La Canada, La Crescenta, Montrose, Tujunga, Glendale, etc. and from Pasadena and Altadena as well. We are actively looking for referral partners in the following areas: Florist, Photographer, Event Planner and many others. We know we can help you find business, and, thereby, help your business grow. Visitors are always welcome. We are not a "Leads" group. We are a referrals group. The referrals we give are Qualified. They are waiting to hear from you. We offer our members the opportunity to exchange business ideas that work, and, most important, "real," "honest," and "true" opportunities to do business.

We function as each other's sales force and board of directors. BNI is based on the philosophy of Giver's Gain: if I give referrals to the members in my chapter, they will give referrals to me. It's well known that Word of Mouth advertising is the most cost-effective form of advertising, and BNI provides a well-structured process and procedure for accomplishing this.
