Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) publishes flow charts summarizing U.S. national & state energy usage. The most widely cited of these charts is the U.S. national energy flow chart, also known as a Sankey diagram, a visualization technique showing proportional flows and efficiency. Our focus will be energy transition trends & strategies, and highlighting the value of beneficial electrification based on the latest energy flowchart of 2024 data released on 2026-08-18.

About our speaker:
Doug Vander Wilt earned a BS & MS in Computer Engineering from Iowa State University and has diverse industry experience in design automation, manufacturing integration, enterprise engineering software, project management, consulting, and photovoltaic solar electronic systems.
