
What we’re about
Getting better from CPTSD is an ongoing process. An important part of this process learning and getting better at critical thinking skills. Getting better at these skills require practice. It can be hard doing the work that it takes to get better at these skills on our own. Being part of a small group of those who are working to get better can be invaluable for those of us who struggle to make the effort on our own.
This group is for those who:
- identify with and have at least some understanding of CPTSD
- are wanting to get better critical thinking
- are wanting to connect with others who are working to get better
This group is designed to be a place where we can:
- verbalize thoughts and feelings
- practice critical thinking skills
- learn from others
What we'll do is go over the articles from: https://www.pete-walker.com
- reading on our own in between meetings.
- noting the thoughts and feelings that come up
- answering inner criticisms that arise using primarily [ though not limited to ] the common inner critic attacks from:

At the start of each meeting, we'll share anywhere from 3 - 5 minutes, our overall thoughts and feelings on what we read and/or personal inner criticism that came up and how we were able to answer [ or at least attempt to answer the inner criticism ] only sharing what we're comfortable sharing in the group.
After the initial sharing, we'll go into more of a free flowing discussion for the remainder of the meeting. No advice or feedback unless asked for.
This group will be limited to 4 - 5 members. Meeting will be around 90 minutes.
The 1st meeting is scheduled for Thursday - Oct 2, 2025 at 7:30pm EST. Thereafter will be 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month. Might add an additional meeting on a different day if there is enough interest.
