Sullivan's Travels

Details

Hollywood loves movies about making movies and one of the best was the 1941 film, Sullivan's Travels. At once a parody, social statement, and "screwball comedy" it got every woman in American wanting a peekaboo hairstyle like Veronica Lake's and every man imagining he was as heroic as Joel McCrea. Now considered one of Preston Sturges' - and Hollywood's (!) greatest comedies of all time, watch for the inspiration for a future Coen brothers' laughfest!

We'll be meeting at the East Market for this event. Discussion will start at 6:30, come earlier if you want to order dinner first.
